Boerne's Hudson Vickery (21) had the only goal of the match Wednesday afternoon in the Greyhounds’ 4A state semifinals match against Kilgore in their 1-0 win.
The senior’s goal came early in the contest, near the 14th minute on an unassisted goal.
What made it special for Vickery was that it was his birthday.
