In his inspirational inaugural address, President John F. Kennedy stated, “Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe to assure the survival and the success of liberty.”
Knowing that defending freedom wasn’t easy, JFK encouraged Americans “to ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country.”
Clearly a huge contrast exists between JFK and those Democrats who have become radical leftists. Things have gotten so extreme that many Democrats feel the need to insist they’re not communists.
Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass told NBC News, “I’m not a socialist or communist. I’ve belonged to one party my entire life, the Democratic party.” Yet, Bass has a decades-long association and membership in a front group run by Cuba’s Communist regime. An October 1975 article in the Communist Daily Worker identified Bass as the leader of Southern California’s Venceremos Brigade, founded in 1969 by Fidel Castro and run by Cuba’s intelligence service.
Upon Fidel Castro’s death, Bass praised the dictator by saying this was a tremendous loss to the Cuban people.
Former Vice President Kamala Harris’s father was a “Marxian” economics professor. In 1966 the Union for Radical Political Economics (URPE) pushed Stanford to “diversify” its staff to include a Marxist-oriented professor. Stanford hired Donald Harris. Kamala’s mother was also a dedicated leftist.
Potential 2028 presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg’s father Joseph was a Marxist professor at Notre Dame. Joseph spoke fondly of the Communist Manifesto and led the Antonio Gramsci Society, which advocated infiltrating cultural and educational systems to co-opt them to promote Marxist ideology.
Alexandra Ocasio Cortez has demanded the U.S. “strip profit motive out of our decisions and reprioritize for the public good.” This essentially says we should reduce markets and individual property ownership (capitalism) and put the government in charge of much of the economic decision making (socialism/ Marxism).
Congresswoman Ilhan Omar’s father served as a military leader for Somalia’s Marxist government. Other congressional members of “The Squad” have similar radical pedigrees.
Former NYC Mayor Bill DeBlasio and Democratic presidential contender worked for Nicaragua’s Marxist Sandinistas and honeymooned in Cuba.
Sen. Bernie Sanders, an “independent” aligned with the Democrat caucus, honeymooned in Moscow and praised the Soviet system. He also praised Venezuela’s Marxist government as a “socialist paradise,” mocking the U.S. by asking “who is the banana republic now?”
Venezuela’s economy eventually collapsed with one quarter of its population fleeing to other nations. As the late British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher stated, “The problem with socialism is that eventually you run out of other people’s money.”
And now Democrats have doubled down by nominating Zohran Mamdani as their New York City mayoral candidate. Mamdani promotes defunding the police and no cash bail, completely ignoring the increase of crime in blue cities resulting from these foolish policies.
In 2020 Mamdani stated, “If we want everyone to be full participants in the economy, we need worker ownership of the means of production.” He has advocated for the abolition of private property. This is pure Marxism.
In 2021 Mamdani addressed the Young Democrat Socialists of America, “We have to continue to elect more socialists, and ensure that we are unapologetic about our socialism.”
Mamdani’s call for government- run grocery stores is absurd. Is he unaware of the constant food shortages in Marxist nations, where poor citizens wait hours in line to buy a loaf of stale bread or one link of fat laden sausage?
A recent Gallup Poll showed that only 36 per cent of Democrats are proud to be Americans. Is this the result of years of condemnation by radical leftists that the U.S. is a racist, evil and greedy nation?
Where are today’s JFK or Truman Democrats; patriots who fought Marxism and defended freedom? Why don’t the remaining sane Democrats fight this radical leftward trajectory?
It’s shocking to see the familial attachment to Marxism of many of the afore mentioned Democrats. Despite their protestations that they’re not communists, as the saying goes, if it walks like a duck, talks like a duck and acts like a duck, it might just be a duck.
