Greyhound, Charger tennis teams set to meet in third round of playoffs

The Boerne ISD teams will meet in the third round of the 5A playoffs for the second year in a row.

Both district teams took care of business through the first two rounds to set up Tuesday’s third-round postseason match between the BISD schools.

Boerne Champion and Boerne High square off Tuesday at Northside Tennis Center by O’Connor High School, 10 a.m.

The Greyhounds won last year’s playoff match and eventually advanced to the regional tournament.

Boerne Champion

The Chargers defeated Cedar Park on Monday and won, 10-2, and then faced MacArthur Thursday morning at Blossom and won that match, 15-2.

Champion is 13-6 overall.

Boerne High

Boerne High hosted Leander Glenn Tuesday at the Greyhound courts and won, 15-3.

The Hounds played Highlands on Thursday at Northside and grounded the Owls, 19-0.

BHS is 15-2 overall.
