OCTOBER 11

• STORYTIME WITH MS. Constance at Herff Farm: Storytime will start at 10:30 a.m. This week’s theme is “Pumpkin Party.”

• HILL COUNTRY MILE Rod Run takes over Main Plaza and Main Street from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. with as many as 300 American-made cars, pre-1985, lined up and shown off. Food and drink booths, music on stage, vendors, and voting on “People’s Choice.”

• FUMC PUMPKIN PATCH is open and runs weekends through Oct. 26 at The AgriCultural Museum and Arts Center, 102 City Park Road in Boerne. Patch hours are 3-6 p.m. Fridays, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturdays, and noon to 6 p.m. on Sundays.

• RECRAFTED NATURE CRAFT will be hosting free natural craft classes for kids on Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon at Herff Farm. This week’s theme is “Chia Pets.”

• FESTIVE FALL DELIGHTS with Chef Lulu Belz. This event celebrates the flavors of autumn at the Cibolo Farmers Market at Herff Farm. From 10:30 a.m. to noon, Belz will gather ingredients from market vendors and whip up seasonal recipes before your eyes. Cost $15. Tickets at cibolo.org.

• MUSIC IN THE CAVE: An Americana evening with Goldpine in Cave Without A Name, 325 Kreutzberg Road, Boerne. The award-winning duo Ben & Kassie will bring their bold harmonies and heartfelt songwriting to the Cave. Tickets $40 in advance; $45 at the door. Tickets available: cavewithoutaname.com.

• AUTHOR ALLEY by the Boerne Bookshop: In the alley that leads to The Boerne Bookshop from Main Street, local authors will set up to promote their books each month. Come visit from 1-5 p.m. with the authors and find your next favorite book. Details: 830-249-0000.

• KUHLMANN-KING TOURS at 402 E. Blanco Road from noon to 3 p.m. Step back in time to experience and explore how a Boerne family would have lived in the late 1800s. Tours are free but donations are always welcome.

• ORACLE READING AND Spiritual Cleansing hosted by Of a Muse. From noon to 4 p.m., guests are invited to step into a space where intuition meets energy. This event hosted at 233 S. Main St. suite F. Tickets $35.

• SATURDAY BLUEGRASS JAM: Bring your instrument and play along or just come to listen to the Bluegrass Jams from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. while exploring the exhibits and grounds at The Agri-Cultural at 102 City Park Road. A free event, but donations are welcome.

• BIZARRE DUCK’S BAZAAR by Dodging Duck Brewhaus: Feather your nest with one-of-a-kind goods from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at The Dodging Duck’s Fall Artisan Market, 402 River Road. Details: [email protected].

• TAPATIO FALL FEST: Come out and enjoy pumpkin painting, live music, petting zoo, hayrides and more. Hosted at Tapatio Springs Hill Country Resort from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Free to attend. RSVP to [email protected] or 830-537-6236.

• SANCTUARY BIRD SURVEY at Sisterdale Sanctuary, from 8-11:30 a.m. Monthly bird surveys help collect valuable wildlife data that will inform future conservation strategies and planning of the Sisterdale Sanctuary. Register at cibolo.org.

OCTOBER 17

• ADULT NIGHT HIKE: Come to The Cibolo Nature Center to hike the trails at sunset. The cost is $15 per adult. The hike will begin at 7:45 p.m. Cos is $15 per adult. Details: [email protected].

• BOOS & BOOZE PARTY: Lost Oak Cellars presents a Halloween bash from 7-10 p.m. for guests 21-and-over with wine, Z’s Pizza, and a live DJ. Show off your costume for a chance to win prizes.

• THE ADDAMS FAMILY: Champion High School Theatre presents the musical comedy “The Addams Family” at 7 p.m. Oct, 17 and 18, and 3 p.m. Oct. 19, at the school auditorium, 201 Charger Blvd. Tickets: www.championtheatre.com.

• BARKTOBERFEST: Hill Country Animal League’s fifth annual Barktoberfest returns to Main Plaza from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with dog races, a costume contest, local beer, food, music and pet adoptions. Enjoy a fun, pet-friendly day supporting local rescues and small businesses.

• NATIVE PLANT SALE at Herff Farm: Buy native plants and learn about their benefits during the Farmers Market from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Members of the Boerne chapter of the Native Plant Society of Texas will be on hand to answer your gardening questions.

• HERFF HOUSE TOURS at the Farmers Market from 10:30 a.m. to noon. Step back in time with a tour of the historic Herff House at Herff Farm, an 1800s homestead, and experience the drama and wonder of early Texas life.

• MOONDANCE CONCERT SERIES: the final Moondance of the season with Katie Shore on stage. Doors open at 6 p.m., concert runs 7-9 p.m. food trucks, beer tents, food and ice cream. Hosted at the Cibolo Nature Center, 140 City Park Road. Tickets are $15; kids 11 and under are free.

• BEC FALL FESTIVAL: Bandera Electric members are invited to a morning of fun at the Member Appreciation Fall Festival from 8:30 a.m. to noon at Enchanted Springs Ranch. Enjoy wagon rides, a petting zoo, a cowboy breakfast, pumpkin patch, giveaways and more. RSVP at www. banderaelectric.com.

• WORLD WAR II GENEALOGY Preservation: Learn how to honor WWII veterans through genealogy, connect with descendants and preserve family stories, from 10:30 a.m. to noon at the Patrick Heath Public Library. Discover how to document and share the experiences of the “Greatest Generation” for future generations.

• ANTIQUE TRACTOR PULL: Bring the family to watch antique tractors, enjoy photo ops and pick out Halloween pumpkins at the FUMC pumpkin patch. Event is 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Free admission, with donations benefiting the Agri-Cultural Museum and Arts Center.

• ROCKTOBERFEST by 259 Brantley’s Bistro & Bar: The Demolition Men, a high-energy police tribute band. Will be on the outdoor stage from 7:30-10:30 p.m. Enjoy craft beer, wine and a menu of wild game and fresh seafood.

• WILD GAME DINNER: Enjoy gourmet fan favorite dishes at the Kendall County Wild Game Dinner. Gates open at 4 p.m. with serving at 5 p.m. Tickets, $25, are available at the door. This fundraiser supports the Kendall County Junior Livestock Association.

OCTOBER 19

• BOERNE BURGER BASH: Enjoy burgers, live music, a cornhole tournament, watermelon eating contest, mechanical bull rides, and a petting zoo from 6-10 p.m. at 28 Songs Brewhouse + Kitchen, 110 Market St. In Boerne. Contact [email protected] to participate in contest.

• DIVA NIGHT: Enjoy a night out on the Hill Country Mile from 5-9 p.m. Shop late, sip cocktails, enjoy bites, music and more from local shops and restaurants. Hosted by the Greater Boerne Chamber of Commerce and local businesses; a perfect evening with friends.
