Several Boerne ISD cross country teams, along with Comfort High, will race at Monday’s regional cross country meets.
Regional meets are set for Monday and Tuesday, but 1A, 3A and 5A run on Monday and 2A, 4A and 6A race on Tuesday.
Comfort is in Region I and will race in Lubbock in 3A. Both the boys and girls teams qualified from Comfort after they finished in the top three at the district meet hosted in Comfort.
The Deer were second at district and the boys finished third.
The Comfort Deer race at 9 a.m. in Lubbock and the boys run at 9:30 a.m.
Both Champion boys and girls squads race Monday in Corpus Christi in the Region IV-5A meet.
The Charger boys just won their 18th district title in a row in Seguin last week and will run at 9:45 a.m. and the girls race before that at 9:15.
The Lady Chargers placed third at district with 58 points and will be without two-time state champion Elizabeth Leachman, who didn’t run at district.
The Boerne High boys were second behind the Chargers at district and run Monday at 9:45 a.m. in Corpus Christi.
Only one Boerne High girl made it to regionals after she placed in the top-10 individually at district. Presley Merkens will run Monday at 9:15 a.m. in Corpus Christi for the Lady Hounds.
