The UIL state cross country meet will be held this Friday and Saturday, but Champion, Boerne and Comfort will all have athletes run on Friday only at Old Settlers Park in Round Rock.
The 1A, 3A and 5A meet is Friday, and the 2A, 4A and 6A meet is Saturday. Next year they’ll rotate the schedule.
Both Champion varsity squads made it to state after they were third at regionals, while Boerne High and Comfort had individual runners qualifier on the boys side.
Comfort’s lone runner, Jackson Dear, will race Friday morning at 8:45 a.m., in the 3A event, while Boerne High’s only representative, Brayden Scott, runs Friday at 10:10 a.m.
The Champion boys team will race at 10:10 a.m. Friday, and the Lady Chargers will run before that at 9:30 a.m.
