Comfort Deer finish second in district play, hosted Geneva on Tuesday in warm-up match

Comfort High closed out district volleyball action last Friday with a sweep over that bunch from Brady.

The Deer claimed the victory, 25-8, 25-8, 25-14. They stand at 26-14 overall and finished district at 7-3.

Comfort was second behind Ingram (10-0) and ahead of Blanco (6-4) and Llano (5-5). Florence (2-8) and Brady (0-10) are out of the playoffs.

The Deer open the postseason this week against San Angelo Texas Leadership Charger Academy. Before that, Comfort hosted Geneva in a non-district match on Tuesday.

In Friday’s match, Tindall Ahrens finished with 17 kills and 6 digs, Jordan Judkins dropped in 5 aces, Emily Hill had 2 blocks, Rubi Lozano came up with 6 digs and Corinne Brown finished with 23 assists.
