On Sept. 18- 20, the Tapatio Springs Resort Men’s Golf Association (MGA) hosted their annual Troubadour Member-Guest Golf Tournament. Each 2-man team was flighted by their team handicap.
This event was a 2-man match play shamble format against other 2-man teams in the same flight. There were six flights, with six teams per flight, so each team played five nine-hole matches against other teams in their flight to determine the flight winners. The winning teams from each flight then advanced to an alternate shot, sudden death “Shootout” to determine the overall winning team for the tournament.
Steve Patel and Anand Bhakta won the Shootout and became this year’s Overall Member- Guest Winners.
