Geneva School of Boerne rolled to a big win in its annual homecoming game Friday night in Boerne against Corpus Christi John Paul II.

The Eagles tallied a 69-0 victory over the visiting Centurions to close out the regular season at 8-2 overall. Geneva finished district play at 4-1 and will be the second-place team from their league.

Geneva is scheduled to host Bishop Gorman in the first round. For more details, be sure to check the Boerne Star.

The Eagles were up big in the first quarter thanks to a 73-yard run by Shae McNew, a 4-yard Reid Wilson sprint and a 4-yard jaunt by Caleb Quitadamo for the 21-0 lead after three Parker Eiland extra points.

Two of those scores were set up by Reid Aderholt interceptions in that first quarter.

In the second stanza, Quitadamo tossed an 8-yard strike to Chase Doran and then Asher Shindler scored on a 32-yard run. Noah Brunsvold capped the scoring in the first half with a 10-yard scamper into the end zone, and the Eagles took a commanding 42-0 lead into halftime.

McNew had the first score of the second half on a 49-yard run, and it was 49-0. Brunsvold then intercepted a pass and returned it 62 yards for a Pick-6 score and the lead swelled to 55-0.

Geneva had another Pick-6 score in the fourth quarter after Jackson Riddle intercepted a pass and took it to the house, while senior lineman Austin Hodo also recorded a touchdown with a 24-yard run.
