William Arthur Lee II, aka “Billy,” “Bill,” “Baby Bob” or “BBob” graduated to heaven on Oct. 27, 2025.
Billy was born June 11, 1953, in Wichita Falls, TX. He and his sister, Linda, cherished their parents, Bill and Frances Lee. Bill managed the Holiday Inn Wichita Falls while Frances (aka “Nana”) taught high school English.
Billy grew up an outdoorsman, particularly hunting and fishing, passions he carried his entire life on earth. He graduated from Wichita Falls High School and later attended and graduated MIT ... as Billy said often, “Midwestern IN TOWN” as Midwestern State University was literally across the street from his childhood home.
Post-graduation, Bill became an insurance adjuster and later settled in as a financial adviser in Lubbock, Texas. While it is traditionally frowned upon to have relationships in the office, Bill’s smile and charisma was irresistible, landing him the beautiful administrative assistant named Karen who became the love of his life!
Bill and Karen were married Feb. 12, 1977, just a week following the tragic and sudden passing of Bill’s dad. While the wedding was originally planned to be in Lubbock, Bill and Karen selflessly diverted the wedding to Wichita Falls, to accommodate family logistics. They actually used the same flower arrangement from Bill’s daddy’s funeral for their wedding. From death to new life. A very true theme for Bill’s life.
Following the birth of his son, Logan, and daughter, Allison, Bill’s journey in the marketplace led him and his family out of Lubbock to Austin, and later, Austin to Houston. It was in Houston that Bill encountered Jesus who radically transformed him and his family forever.
While Bill had, since childhood, carried an intellectual acknowledgment of faith, it was in Houston that he was filled with the Spirit — fully in love with the Rescuer and Lover of his soul, Jesus. From death to life.
Instantaneously, he was awakened to a new life filled with peace and purpose, following Jesus and diligently studying Jesus’ words on how to serve and love others in Bill’s orbit. During this season he was strengthened and encouraged by his lifelong friends, mostly from the beautiful community at Second Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon.
Jesus moved Bill and his family from Houston to Scottsdale, Arizona, where he managed the entire valley for Wachovia Securities which later became Wells Fargo Advisors. After a few years of fruitful service in Arizona, Bill was eager to get back to hunting, fishing, barbecue and good people of Texas. An opportunity emerged in San Antonio, and he pounced on it.
Bill worked in San Antonio but lived in beautiful Boerne, TX, in a five-acre property Karen chose; non-negotiable! Their home became the central hosting grounds for their growing family, with grandkids and countless bible studies and small groups filling the space with joy.
Entering his 60s, this is supposed to be the stage of retirement for Bill as it was for his many friends. Jesus had other plans. Bill became an elder at a new church plant, The Bridge Fellowship, where he led a flourishing small group and provided his gift of wisdom for an exploding church. Serving as an elder was the joy of his life. He poured into younger men and contained seemingly unlimited energy for his church. Simultaneously, he bought a book of business and went back to “producer” as a financial advisor for his clients he cherished and loved so well.
He seamlessly integrated his love for Jesus into his vocation. Seven days a week he journeyed with Jesus from home to work to church, obediently dispensing out the love, kindness, smiles, loud laughter and wisdom to others Jesus first poured into him.
BBob miraculously had the capacity to love and intentionally connect uniquely to his wife, kids, and eight grandkids while also running an office, serving a growing list of clients, passionately helping lead The Bridge, and consistently connecting with dear friends. Somehow, he still had time to play golf, hunt, and fish. A full life.
Bill is dancing with Jesus, likely singing very loudly and off pitch in his real home of paradise. He’s worshipping alongside his father Bill and mother Frances, his sister Linda, his daughter, Hope.
Those pending their graduation: his mother-in-law, Shirley Ward, his beautiful wife Karen, his son Logan, daughter Allison, Logan’s wife Kara, Allison’s husband, Stephen, grandchildren Lydia, Levi, Jack, Lukas, Ellie, Liam, George, and Poppy, and nephew, Jeff Fisher, and niece, Amy Smith.
If you feel compelled, please don’t waste money on flowers, instead give to The Bridge Fellowship, The Well Community for Women, Aid the Silent, and Amazon Outreach — all passions of Bill, and let them magnify the work of Jesus to serve others. Just like Bill did on earth. https://bio. site/BillLeeLegacy.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday Nov. 8, 2025, at Currey Creek Church, 35 Cascade Caverns Road, Boerne, Texas at 2 p.m.
For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen. Romans 11:36 Services entrusted to Ebensberger Fisher Funeral Home. To leave a condolence for the family, please visit www.ebensberger- fisher.com.
