Gloria “Ma” Valdez Trevino, 85, passed away peacefully on Friday, Oct. 24, 2025 in San Antonio. Born on Sept. 15, 1940, in Leon Springs, Texas, Gloria was the daughter of Cipriano Valdez Sr., and Isabel Perez Valdez. She grew up surrounded by a large and loving family and carried that spirit of devotion and care throughout her life.
Gloria graduated from John Marshall High School and later pursued a career in Nursing, becoming a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN). Her dedication to helping others began early–she volunteered for the March of Dimes during the late 1960s as part of the Mother’s March campaign. Her professional journey led her to Santa Rosa Hospital, where she served with compassion for many years.
