The Geneva School of Boerne girls basketball team is still in the hunt for its first win of the season after they lost to TMI – Episcopal last week and also fell to Mason on Tuesday.
The Eagles stand at 0-3. The Panthers defeated the Lady Eagles, 38-27, and lost to Mason, 77-19.
Geneva will take a break for a bit and play again on Nov. 20 at Cornerstone.
Vs. Mason
Sopris Oglesby led the team with 9 points, 2 assists and 10 rebounds, Brooke Devries recorded 6 points and 7 rebounds, while Reese Smith and Lexi Oglesby both chipped in with 2 and Smith also added 2 assists.
Vs. TMI – Episcopal
A strong second half by TMI was the difference in Tuesday’s game. It was tied 11-11 at halftime, but the Lady Panthers outscored Geneva 27-16 to get the win.
TMI added 16 in the third and 11 in the fourth, while the Eagles dropped in 8 points in each of the final two periods.
Payton Boles led Geneva with 9 points, Carlyle Harden added 8 points, Sopris Oglesby scored 4 points, while Brooke Devries and Lexi Oglesby both netted 3.
Sopris Oglesby recorded 10 rebounds, 4 steals and 2 assists, Reese Smith collected 9 boards and Devries came up with 4 steals.
