BHS boys clipped by Owls, topple Titans

Boerne High opened its 2025-26 boys basketball season last Saturday with a trip to San Antonio to face Highlands and lost.

On Monday, the Greyhounds were at home to face Southwest Legacy and won to split their two games to start the season at 1-1.

Boerne High plays in the Cornerstone tournament this weekend.

Against Highlands, the Owls outlasted the Greyhounds, 64-57, to start BHS at 0-1.

Against Southwest Legacy, Boerne won, 72-42.

The Greyhounds doubled up the Titans in the first quarter, 18-9.

Boerne won the second stanza 19-12 and held a 37-21 lead at halftime.

BHS took the third quarter 18-10 and took a 55-31 advantage into the fourth quarter.

In the final period, the Hounds made it a clean sweep and won the fourth quarter as well, 17-11, to close it out and win all four stanzas for the 30-point win.
