Greyhounds pound Pioneer, 42-17

LAREDO - The Greyhounds advanced to the third round of the playoffs after the BHS football team defeated the Mission Pioneer Diamondbacks, 42-17, Thursday in Laredo at the Bill Johnson Student Activity Center.

Boerne advances to the third round of the playoffs and will likely play on Black Friday.

The Hounds took control early and scored six touchdowns in the first half and tallied its 42 points by halftime. In the second half, Boerne went into ball-control mode and most of the starters didn't even see the field.

The Chargers play undefeated Pharr-San Juan Alamo-North Friday at Johnson in Laredo and are hoping to make it to the third round and play Thanksgiving weekend.
