L:AREDO - Boerne Champion rallied in the fourth quarter to defeat Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North Friday in Laredo, 24-21.

The Chargers were trailing late but Champion QB Julian Navarette hit Brogan Dempsey with a 53-yard bomb with less than three minutes left for Champion's first lead since the first half.

It was the second time Navarette went deep and found Dempsey open. The two connected on Champion's first play of the game that went for a 75-yard score.

After the second Dempsey TD, the Raiders still had time but gave the ball back after failing to convert a 4th down. From there, the Chargers ran the ball and ran out the clock to end the PSJA-North season at 11-1 for their only loss of the season.
