Boerne Gymnastics shines at state competition

The Boerne Gymnastics Level 6 Girls Team finished an incredible season, as they not only qualified, but also took 3rd place in Team competition at the 2022 Level 6 Texas State Championships which were held in Katy earlier this spring.

The Boerne Gymnastics Level 6 Girls Team finished an incredible season, as they not only qualified, but also took 3rd place in Team competition at the 2022 Level 6 Texas State Championships which were held in Katy earlier this spring.

The girls showed off their incredible talents and work ethics, as Molly McCormick brought home the gold medal on the floor exercise, silver on bars and third on both the balance beam and vault, and won the individual gold medal in all around.

Mia Rodriguez also took the silver medal on the floor exercise, placing 5th in the individual all around.

Madigan Day took the silver medal on the balance beam and placed 7th in all-around competition.

Heidi Grasso, who placed 7th in the individual all around, helped the team score with a strong showing on balance beam and on vault.

Amelie Wilkes, who placed 12th all around, finished with an outstanding floor routine and helped the team secure the bronze medal in the state team competition.

The girls proved that a strong team can be put together when its individual parts are put together to create something great, according to coach Bobby Martinez.
