Comfort High capped its 2025 football season by having 15 players voted to one of the 13-3A DII All-District teams.

Junior Omar Rivera was named the district’s utility player and played quarterback, punter and kicker for the Bobcats this season.

Senior Carter Pape was a first-team running back, senior Job Hernandez was a first-team offensive lineman and senior Matthias Toca was a first-team offensive lineman.

Senior Sloan Stransky was a first-team defensive lineman, senior Damian Neri was a first-team linebacker and junior Cole Young was a first-team defensive back.

Sophomore Dax Stehling was a second-team offensive lineman, junior Marcus Zarate was a second-team offensive lineman and sophomore Augie Diaz de Villegas was a second-team offensive lineman.

Senior Alexis Padilla was a second-team defensive lineman, junior Jared Valadez was second-team defensive back and junior Gabe Gonzales was a secondteam linebacker. Four of the Bobcats, Valadez (RB), Neri (TE), Stehling (DL) and Toca (DL) were also honorable mention on the other side of the ball, while senior Case Barrett was an honorable mention wide receiver and senior Daniel Ceniceros was an honorable mention defensive lineman.

Comfort finished the year at 5-6 overall and went 1-3 in district. Their one win in 13-3A DII advanced them to the playoffs since they were in a five-team district and finished fourth.

The Bobcats drew the No. 1 state-ranked Tidehaven in the opening round and were eliminated from the postseason, 62-7. There’s no shame in losing to Tidehaven since they are still playing and faced East Bernard in the fourth round Friday night.

Comfort played three top 10 teams in the state towards the end of the season. They tangled with Lexington (No. 10), Blanco (No. 9) and then Tidehaven (No. 1) in the last three weeks of their season.
