Shortly after graduating, she met and married Charles Edward Hack and they welcomed two children, Michael and Cecilia, and eventually settled in San Antonio.
Billie was a lifelong career woman who worked at Joske’s department store before she entered into civil service as the secretary to the Chaplain at Lackland Air Force Base. She found the love of her life, Archie Lang, and they married in 1982. They enjoyed traveling throughout the United States in their RV.
Her passion for singing as a young girl continued with the Maranatha Choir of First Baptist Church of Boerne, establishing lifelong relationships which endured through the remainder of her life.
She is survived by her son, Michael Hack (Kaaren), her grandchildren: Kam Porter (Marvin), Kara-Marie Delaney (Donal) and Cody Hack (Alivia) and seven beautiful great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Archie Lang, her daughter Cecelia Marie Hild and her grandson Kirk Nelson. Billie will be interned with her husband at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
Funeral services will be held on Dec.11 at Saint Peter The Apostle Catholic Church, Boerne. Rosary will begin at 10 a.m. with Mass at 10:30 a.m. A reception will follow in the Cana Ballroom.
In lieu of flowers, her family suggests making a donation to the Patrick Heath Public Library in Boerne or to The Center in Boerne.
