The Boerne High boys remained unbeaten in district basketball after the Greyhounds picked up a road win Tuesday at Smithson Valley, 68-57.
BHS is 9-7 overall and 2-0 in district. Boerne hosted Champion on Friday and visits Alamo Heights on Tuesday for a 1 p.m. game.
After that, the Hounds will help co- host the Boerne ISD Tournament on Dec. 29-30.
Julien Hartman turned in a great performance and led the Greyhounds with 28 points in Tuesday’s win. The senior post scored in every quarter and finished the game with 11 points in the fourth period.
Parker Ballenger had a hot start for the Hounds and knocked down four 3-pointers in the opening stanza and added another 3 in the third quarter to finish with 15 points.
Noa Sanchez was also in double digits for the Greyhounds after he tallied 10 points, while Jay Aldridge netted 9, and Riley Pierce and Bo Pape chipped in with 3 points each.
Ballenger’s shooting helped the Greyhound jump out to a 19- 12 lead to end the first quarter. BHS won the second stanza 16-14 and took a 35-26 lead into halftime.
The Greyhounds took the third quarter by a point, 18- 17 and then closed it out by winning the final period by a point, 15-14, as they won all four quarters.
