The Boerne High girls rolled to their third straight district win after the Lady Greyhounds defeated Smithson Valley Tuesday night.
Smithson Valley entered with a solid 15-3 record, but BHS posted a double-digit win against the Rangers, 55-44 at Greyhound Gym.
Boerne improved to 12-5 overall and 3-1 in district. BHS visited Champion Friday and hosts Alamo Heights on Tuesday, 12:30 p.m.
After that, the Hounds are off until Dec. 29-30 when they help co-host the Boerne ISD tournament.
The Lady Hounds had a good start and were leading 20-11 by the end of the first quarter. SV outscored Boerne in the second stanza, 15-12, and had trimmed the lead to six by halftime, 32-26.
BHS turned in another strong quarter in the third and won the period 12-5 and extended its lead to 44-31 by the start of the final stanza.
The Rangers took the fourth quarter but only by two points, 13-11, to give Boerne the 11-point win.
Sutherlin Menn paced the Lady Hounds with 23 points, 11 rebounds, 6 steals and 4 assists and played all 32 minutes.
Addison Saur netted 9 points, Oleyvia Ramos added 7 points and 2 blocks, Melia Gonzalez finished with 6 points, Addison Palluch chipped in with 4 points and played the entire game, Shaylee Allen scored 3, JT Hernandez tallied 2 and Hartlee Menn hit a free throw as eight different players scored in the contest.
