The swim teams from BISD have been involved in a couple of TISCA (Texas Interscholastic Swimming Coaches Association) meets to close out 2025.
Boerne High and Boerne Champion were at the Hornets TISCA meet in Flour Bluff recently and were also in the South Zone TISCA in San Antonio. Be sure to look in the Star for South Zone TISCA results.
The Chargers and Greyhounds aren’t in the water again until after the new year and will co-host a meet on Jan. 9, at the district’s new aquatics learning center.
Hornets TISCA
Champion finished fifth in the overall combined team standings with 385 points after the girls were fourth with 285 points and the boys were sixth with 100 points.
Some of the highlights included the Champion girls relay of Karly Whitehead, Kate Canales, Addison Graham and Cora Skoog winning the 200yard medley relay with a 1:44.71.
Skoog won the 200-yard freestyle after posting a 1:52.38 and Whitehead was second in 1:54.44, while Canales won the 200-yard IM with a time of 2:00.94 and Graham was fourth in the race at 2:12.07.
Skoog also took first in the 100-yard freestyle by clocking in at 51.14 and Whitehead placed fifth with a 53.41, while Canales won the 100-yard breaststroke after recording a 1:01.46.
Canales, Graham, Whitehead and Skoog teamed up for first in the 200-yard freestyle relay after combining for a time of 1:36.33.
In diving, Jada Green won the girls 1-meter diving event with 417.65 points On the boys side, Will Harrison won the boys 50 freestyle after he clocked in at 20.61 and also captured first in the 100-yard freestyle after posting a 45.70, while Carson Muenchow placed fourth in the 500-yard freestyle after completing the race in 4:57.37.
Harrison, Muenchow, Luke Bove and Marcelo Garcia finished fifth in the 200-yard freestyle relay after posting a 1:29.29 and Harrison, Muenchow, Aaron Mendoza and Bove combined for third in the 400-yard freestyle relay with a 3:20.13.

The BHS girls tallied 27 points for 12th overall at the meet.
Lauren Summers placed sixth in the championship heat of the 100-yard breaststroke by recording a 1:07.03 and also took sixth in the consolation finals of the 50-yard freestyle with a 25.61, while Sarah Heilesen came in second in the consolation finals of the 100-yard backstroke after posting a time of 1:03.74.
Summers, Heilesen, Brinley Robinson and Kendall Gray teamed up for seventh place in the consolation finals of the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:46.48.
