Boerne ISD swimmers at South Zone TISCA meet

Both Boerne ISD swim teams recently competed at the South Zone Texas Interscholastic Swimming Coaches Association (TISCA) Swim and Dive Championships held at Davis Natatorium.

The swim teams are off for the Christmas break and return to the water on Jan. 9 at the new BISD Aquatics Learning Center by hosting a meet.

RESULTS

The Champion team of Karly Whitehead, Kate Canales, Addison Graham and Cora Skoog won the 200-yard relay with a time of 1:45.45 and the Charger boys 400-yard medley relay of Will Harrison, Carson Muenchow, Ethan Altermatt and Marcelos Garcia placed eighth with a time of 3:47.49.

Kate Canales won the 200 freestyle after posting a 1:49.63, Addison Graham finished fourth in the 200-yard IM with a 2:09.01 and Madi Neuman was 13th with her time of 2:19.95.

Luke Bove came in 12th in the 50 back with a 26.92 and Marcelo Garcia placed 14th in the event after swimming a. 27.01.

Cora Skoog clocked in at 24.03 for fourth in the 50 free and Karly Whitehead was 11th in 24.99.

Kate Canales won the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 55.09, Meghan Jackson placed 14th in the 100-yard freestyle after posting a 56.30 and Addison Graham came in second in the 500-freestyle after turning in a 5:12.44.

Canales took third in the 50-yard butterfly after posting a 25.26 and Graham was 12th in the event with a 27.06, while Canales won the 50-yard breaststroke by posting a 28.38 and Graham was fifth in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:29.42.

Canales also won the 100-yard IM by recording a 55.77 and Whitehead was 13th in the event with a time of 1:01.87, while Graham swam in the 1000-yard freestyle and posted a 10:35.85.

Will Harrison won the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 20.54 and Marcelo Garcia was 15th in the event with a 22.55, while Harrison also captured first in the 100-yard freestyle after posting a 45.25 and Garcia came in 10th in the event with a 49.03.

Carson Muenchow took eighth in the 400-yard IM with a time of 4:33.63, he also came in 11th in the 1,000-yard freestyle after he turned in a 10:31.13 and was 11th in the 200-yard freestyle with a 1:49.72. Muenchow also came in sixth in the 500yard freestyle with a time of 5:00.13, while Ethan Altermatt came in 16th in the 100yard IM with a time of 1:01.59.

Karly Whitehead placed third in the 100 backstroke after swimming a 56.81, Madi Neuman came in 11th in the 100-yard breaststroke with a 1:10.07 and Whitehead was second in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:01.46, The girls 400-freestyle relay of Kate Canales, Meghan Jackson, Addison Graham and Karly Whitehead combined for second after posting a 3:33.66, while Whitehead, Canales, Graham and Jackson won the 400yard medley relay with a time of 3:52.68.

Gavin Richmond won the 3-meter diving event after scoring 214.25 points and came in third in the 1-meter diving with 291.15 points, while Jada Green tallied 322.20 points in 1-meter diving that was good enough for third place.

For the Greyhounds, Boerne High’s Lauren Summers placed fourth in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:08.03.
