The UIL soccer season kicks off this week, and all four Boerne ISD varsity teams will be in action.
The Champion boys begin the new year by visiting Madison on Tuesday, Jan. 6 All the other varsity teams at BISD will play in tournaments this weekend to begin 2026.
The Boerne High plays play at the Alamo Heights tournament Jan. 1-3; the Lady Chargers are entered in the Abilene ISD Tournament from Jan. 1-3, while the Lady Greyhounds are scheduled to play in the Northside ISD Tournament Jan. 1-3.
Normally, the teams don’t play on New Year’s Day, but because of how the holiday fell on the calendar this year, it forced them to play on Thursday since they are entered in three-day tournaments.
District 26-5A action is around the corner and all the Boerne ISD team open league play on Jan. 13.
