Whatever bug is floating around out there and making people sick has taken a bite out of the Comfort High girls basketball team. Apparently, Santa Claus brought contagion this Christmas as the Deer basketball team has been decimated by illness. So much so that the team had to pull out of the Nueces Canyon Tournament.
San Antonio Cole is dealing with the same malady and has informed Comfort that they didn’t have enough players for their scheduled game on Tuesday, Dec 30.
So, the next time the Deer will be in action is in the new year on Friday, Jan. 2 as they travel to San Antonio to play Great Hearts Northern Oaks.
