Lady Greyhounds run away from Lady Mules, 67-26

The Boerne High girls basketball team hit double digits in all four quarters during last week’s district game to defeat visiting Alamo Heights by 41 points.

BHS tallied 14, 18, 17 and 18 points and went on to whip the Lady Mules, 67-26. The Lady Hounds improved to 15-5 overall and bumped their district mark to 5-1.

Boerne helped to co-host the BISD tournament on Monday and Tuesday and is off Friday. They resume district play Tuesday at Pieper.

In last week’s game, BHS was up 14-8 to end the opening quarter and then outscored the Mules in the second period, 18-7, and took a 32-15 lead into halftime.

Alamo Heights struggled in the third and was outscored by the Lady Greyhounds, 17-4, as BHS carried a 49-19 lead into the fourth quarter.

Boerne closed it out by winning the fourth quarter 18-7, to wrap up the win.

Sutherlin Menn paced the Greyhounds in scoring with 16 points, Hartlee Menn added 11 points, Melia Gonzalez netted 9 points and Addison Palluch and Addison Saur both tallied 8 points.

JT Hernandez scored 6, Ryan Cooper chipped in with 3, while Emery Reyes, Oleyvia Ramos and Addison Neal all dropped in 2 points apiece.
