Boerne Champion picked up a district victory in boys basketball last Friday after the Chargers went on the road to defeat New Braunfels.
The Chargers tamed the Unicorns by 22 points, 60-38, and improved to 2-2 in district and 15-7 overall.
Champion hosted Wagner Tuesday and visits Kerrville Tivy on Friday.
The Chargers had four players finish in double digits and had two more players that were one shot away from making it five players in double digits.
Nik Georgelos paced Champion with 16 points, Gavin Peck added 13 and Reid Reddy netted 11, while Travis Clark finished with 9 points and Nicholas Plummer chipped in with 8 points as the five combined for 57 of their 60 points. Will Kliesing also contributed 3 points.
Plummer led the Chargers on the board and grabbed 8 rebounds, while Reddy and Georgelos both snagged 6 boards. Reddy and Plummer also dished out four assists each.
