Pearl Barnard, a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on Jan. 1, 2026, at the age of 89.

Born Feb. 3, 1936 with her twin sister, Merle, in Wickett, Texas, to Martin Willett Park and Willa V Booker Park, Pearl spent her childhood in Wickett, growing up with her brothers and sisters.

She and Merle both received a Masters in Art with a teaching certification from Sul Ross University.

On Aug. 18, 1962, Pearl married Billy Fred Barnard. Together, they raised their blended family in Monahans, Texas.

Bill and Pearl later bought 10 acres in Junction, Texas, where they built Fox Hollow, a retreat with cabins on the South Llano River that welcomed guests and created lifelong memories for their family.

Pearl was an artist, a teacher, and an entrepreneur and enjoyed traveling.

In retirement, Pearl and Bill settled in Fair Oaks Ranch, where they resided for 25 years. They enjoyed fellowship, food, and playing 42 dominoes at the Kronkosky Foundation.

She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Monahans and St. Mark Presbyterian Church in Boerne.

Pearl is preceded in death by her parents, Martin Willett Park and Willa V Booker Park; her cherished husband, Bill; her twin sister Sandra Merle Williams; and her brothers, Samuel Sidney Park and Denny Raymond Park.

Pearl is survived by her sister, Dian Cooper of Waxahachie, children David Barnard (Conny) of Missouri, Yevonne Creasey (David) of Canyon Lake, Marty Prewitt of Abilene, Elizabeth Preuss (Buddy) of Fair Oaks Ranch, and Fred Barnard of Virginia; 15 grandchildren; and 25 great grandchildren.

A celebration of Pearl’s life will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 13, at 11 a.m., at St. Mark Presbyterian Church, 208 W. Bandera Road in Boerne, with Rev. Ann Marie Quigley-Swanson officiating.
