The Boerne Champion tennis team opened the 2026 spring season last weekend at the A&M Consolidated Invitational in College Station.
At the tourney, Christian Okey finished second in Boys B Singles, while Luke Zunker and Sam Haas placed third in Boys B Doubles.
The Chargers are led by Kristin Cantu after her husband, former head coach Joey Cantu, left his position at the school to become the athletic director at Pearsall ISD.
Up next, Champion will be playing in the Dominion Winter Classic this weekend in San Antonio.
