The Boerne High girls defeated Pieper in their last regular-season basketball game at home on Senior Night last Friday.
The Lady Greyhounds beat the Lady Warriors, 56-28, and closed out the regular season Tuesday at New Braunfels.
Boerne improved to 13-2 in district and 25-7 overall and will start the playoffs next week.
In last Friday’s game, BHS was up 10-7 at the end of the first quarter and then outscored Pieper in the second, 15-5, to take a 25-12 lead into halftime.
Boerne’s best scoring quarter of the night came in the third when they dropped in 20 to double up the Warriors in the period, 20-10, and take a 45-22 lead into the fourth quarter.
The Lady Hounds closed it out by outscoring Pieper in the final stanza, 11-6.
Sutherlin Menn led all scorers with 20 points, Oleyvia Ramos netted 9, Melia Gonzalez and Addison Saur both tallied 8, Addison Palluch added 5, Hartlee Menn finished with 4 and Addison Neal chipped in with 2. Boerne’s two seniors are JT Hernandez and Ramos.
