FIRST ROUND PLAYOFFS
Boerne High vs. Cedar Park at Northside Gym on Monday, 6 p.m.
Boerne High rolled to a 58-34 win Tuesday night at New Braunfels to close out the regular season in girls basketball.
BHS had locked up a playoff spot awhile back and was looking to shore up a few things heading into the playoffs that start this week.
The Lady Greyhounds ended the regular season at 26-7 (14-2 in district) and face Cedar Park in the opening round Monday at Northside Gym, 6 p.m.
BHS finished second in district and Cedar Park was 10-4 in their district and ended up third. The two teams met last year, and the Timberwolves broke a tie at the buzzer with a near halfcourt shot for a 43-40 win over the Lady Hounds and ended up going four rounds before losing to district roe Liberty Hill.
In Tuesday’s game, Melia Gonzalez led the team with 19 points, JT Hernandez scored 11, Sutherlin Menn added 9 points and 5 assists, Addison Palluch finished with 7, Hartlee Menn netted 6 points and 7 steals, Addison Neal chipped in with 4 points and Addison Saur hit for 2.
