Boerne Champion recently hosted its first track and field meet of the season at Boerne ISD Stadium to open 2026 at the Charger Relays and then the Chargers were at the NS meet last week. Champion was at Boerne ISD Stadium this week for another meet.
Charger Relays Varsity Boys (top 6) The Champion boys won the meet after they tallied 161 points.
Juan Nava and Hayden Fridley went 3-4 in the 100 dash (11.37, 11.54), while Will Burgess came in 6th (11.65).
Brogan Dempsey and Ryan McDonald finished 2-3 in the 200 (23.22, 23.43), while Zach Smith and Jaxon Harbuck were 4th and 6th in the 400 (52.58, 54.46).
Sebastian Carvallo placed 6th in the 800 (2:02), Shawn Edwards won the 1600 (4:26) and Carvallo was 6th (4:37).
Adan Valdez and Noah Moreno came in 4th and 5th in the 3200 (9:58, 10:00).
Landon Siwek finished 4th in the 100 hurdles (17.70) and Siwek was 3rd in the 300 hurdles (44.41).
The Chargers won two relay events after taking 1st in the 4x100 (42.63), and they also captured 1st in the 4x200 (1:30.63) and were 3rd in the 4x400 (3:34).
Korbin Buchanan and Jaxon Barnes finished 3rd and 4th in the high jump after they both cleared 5-10.
Brogan Dempsey tied for first in the long jump (1910.5) and Ryder Flugence was 3rd (19-6). Flugence was 1st in the triple jump (42.8.25) and Dempsey was 4th (40-2.25).
Ace Giffin came in 2nd in the pole vault (10-6) and Andrew Medina placed 4th in the discus (132-4).
Varsity Girls (top 6) The Lady Chargers were 2nd with 156 points.
Juliana Syroney won two races after taking 1st in the 100 (12.34) and she was also 1st in the 200 (25.24). Kyndall Hayes finished 2nd in the 200 (26.36) and Mikayla Green came in 5th (27.51).
Michelle Cerna placed 3rd in the 400 (1:04), while Emma Radtke and Ellis Conroy were 5-6 in the 800 (2:23, 2:26).
Emma Radtke, Rebecca Bezerra and Luciana Zazueta Ibarra took the top three spots in the 1600 (5:24, 5:25.61, 5:25.83) and Bezerra and Zazueta Ibarra went 1-2 in the 3200 (11:29, 11:47).
Addison Davis placed 6th in the 100 hurdles (18.0) and Davis was 4th in the 300 hurdles (50.98).
The Lady Chargers were 1st in the 4x200 (1:46), finished 2nd in the 4x100 (48.97) and were 3rd in the 4x400 (4:13).

In field events, Maelee Mares finished 6th in the high jump (5-10), Cassidy Breuer took 2nd in the long jump
(16-4) and Mares was 5th
(15-9.5). Breuer also pointed in the triple jump at 3rd (33--
1.75) and Mares placed 6th
(31-10), while Braelyn Bailey finished 4th in the discus
(78-5).
Northside Meet Varsity Boys (top 6)
Champion placed 2nd with
98.5 points.
Brogan Dempsey finished
4th in the 200 (22.66) and Jaxon Harbuck was 6th
(23.28), while Zach Smith finished 6th in the 400 (53.02) and Sebastian Carvallo placed
6th in the 800 (1:59).
Shawn Edwards won the
1600 and 3200 after posting a
4:25 in the 1600 and a 9:41 in the 3200. Cavallo placed 4th in the 1600 (4:35), while Noah Moreno (9:58) and Adan Valdez (9:59) were 5th and 6th in the 3200.
Champion won the 4x100
(42.62), took 2nd in the 4x200
(1:28) and placed 2nd in the
4x400 (3:29).
In field events, Korbin Buchanan tied for 5th in the high jump (5-8), Ryder Flugence came in 5th in the triple jump (42-7.25) and Ace Griffin came in 5th in the pole vault (10-0).
Andrew Medina was 6th in the discus (123-11) and Blake Stehling placed 3rd in the shot put (47-4.75).
Varsity Girls (top 6)
The Lady Chargers finished
2nd with 121 points.
Juliana Syroney placed 2nd in the 100 (12.22) and Syroney won the 200 after posting a
24.95, while Ellis Conroy
(2:24.48) and Rebecca Bezerra
(2:24.95) went 5-6 in the 800.
Payton Kidder won the
1600 (5:09) and Bezerra (5:16) and Luciana Zazueta Ibarra
(5:19) finished 4-5 in the race, while Emma Radtke took 2nd in the 3200 (11:37).
Tina Pham placed 2nd in the 100 hurdles (15.42), Aleah Ramirez was 4th (16.74) and Addison Davis came in 6th
(17.23), while Davis was also
6th in the 300 hurdles (50.03).
The Champion girls were
2nd in the 4x100 (48.71), finished 3rd in the 4x200 (1:44) and teamed up for 2nd in the
4x400 (4:06).
Maelee Mares won the high jump (4-10) and Bailey Martin placed 4th (4-6), while Mares came in 4th in the long jump
(16-4.5) and Lindsay Tompkins was 6th (15-1.75). Mares also pointed in the triple jump after she turned in a measurement of 32-3.5.
