The Boerne ISD varsity tennis teams have played in a couple of tournaments in the last few weeks. The Chargers and Greyhounds were involved in the Clark Cougar Invitational, and both were entered at last week’s NEISD tourney.
Boerne High also played Tuesday at the Hill Country Quad event in Kerrville and the Chargers are entered in the Dominion Spring Break Invitational this weekend before both are off until after spring break.
Clark Invitational
Both the Greyhounds and Chargers turned in strong performances at the NS tourney.
For the Greyhounds, Aidan Cebe took first in boys A singles, Justin Barraza and Paytin Johndrow were first in A mixed doubles and Alexa Drayton and Mauricio Mendoza were first in C mixed doubles.
Also, for BHS, Emma McAlear finished second in girls B singles and Gavin Cebe and Nick Dube were first in consolation A boys doubles.
For the Chargers, Ryan Wolf and Sam Haas won the boys doubles B draw division and Ethan Watts and Finley Leonard won the consolation C draw.
NEISD Invitational
Champion’s Alex Morris finished second in the A draw singles and Laney Keator was second in the B draw singles.
For the Greyhounds, Nick Dube and Gavin Cebe finished third in Flight 1 boys doubles and Josh Burris finished second in Flight 2 boys singles, while Caleb Norman and Rylan Bratz won the consolation title in the Flight 1 boys doubles.
