Comfort High’s Sarah Holland recently competed at the regional powerlifting meet and qualified for the upcoming state meet scheduled for Thursday, March 19 at the Bert Ogden Areana in Edinburg.
Holland took silver in her division with lifts of 280 in squat, 180 in bench and 300 in the dead lift for a total of 760.
Another Comfort lifter, Autumn Patteson finished third for bronze and just missed out on a trip to state. Patteson had lifts of 295 in squat, 150 in bench and 300 in dead lift for a total of 745.
Also for Comfort, Haper Cole finished sixth in her weight class and Esme Comacho placed seventh.
