Four area basketball players named Academic All-State by THSCA

Four area basketball players were named to the 2025-26 Academic All-State Teams by The Texas High School Coaches Association.

The athlete, student trainer and manager must be in good standing with the team, of good moral character, be a senior and have a cumulative GPA of 92 or above.

Students were recognized as first team, second team, honorable mention or elite.

Champion’s Nik Georgelos was a first-team selection and Reid Reddy was a second-team selection, while Comfort High’s Jackson Dear and Alexis Padilla were both honorable mention picks.
