Boerne High competed at the Fredericksburg track and field meet where both Greyhound varsity teams finished fourth.
The Hounds were back at it last week and competed at the Steele Relays. Some of the Greyhounds will race this weekend at the Texas Relays.

Varsity Girls
The Lady Greyhounds finished 4th with 118 points at the event.
In the distance medley relay, Lilly Cox, Penelope Kirk, Ansley Schiller and Kelsey Farar teamed up for 5th (13:54), the 4x200 relay of Maddie Freeman, Abigail McDougal, Bethanee Lozano and Victoria Varga combined for 2nd (1:48), while the sprint medley relay took 1st (4:18).
Also, Boerne’s 4x400 of Brei Johnson, Averley Bruce, Sutton Amerman and Presley Merkens came in first.
Prisca Igbo (15.88) and Averley Bruce (16.30) went 2-3 in the 100 hurdles, while Bruce was 3rd in the 300 hurdles (48.40) and Brei Johnson came in 5th (48.91).
Bella Pettet placed 2nd in the 100 dash (12.59) and Ansley Schiller won the 1600 (5:51).
Pettet earned more points in field events after she won the long jump (176.5) and Mckeehan Smith finished 5th in the pole vault (8-6).
Varsity Boys
BHS finished 4th in the final varsity standings with 71 points.
The 4x100 relay consisting of Ronnie Brooks, Bryalen Thomason, Cash Copeland and Will Freeman teamed up for 3rd (43.59). Brooks also came in 6th in the 100 dash (11.72).
Freeman, Thomason, Brooks and Copeland also pooled their talents to place 4th in the 4x200 (1:32), while Freeman, Barrett Crofut, Aaron Garcia and Thomason combined for 2nd in the sprint medley relay (3:50).
Also, Boerne’s 4x400 relay made up of Crofut, Jaxon Pettet, Beau Dayoc and Logan Papia finished 5th (3:41).
Brayden Scott captured 1st in the 1600 (4:36) and Jacen Esparza came in 4th in the race (5:05).
In field events, Ryan Naylor took 2nd in the shot put (46-4) and Zayden Biela was 6th (43-10.5), while Brooks Hood was 6th in the discus (121-10) and Ronnie Brooks came in 4th in the long jump (20-4.5).
