Foren hired as Geneva School of Boerne head football coach

Geneva School of Boerne announced this week that Adam Foren has been named the school’s next head football coach and is expected to start in his new role with the school on April 20. He replaces Bob Rosenstiel, who left after one year.

Ironically, Rosenstiel left for Austin St. Michael’s to become the head coach there, while Foren was an assistant at St. Michael’s for the past three seasons.

Geneva Athletic Director Trent Nesmith said Foren is the right man for the job.

“Coach Foren met and exceeded our expectations. He has an experienced resume as both a player and a coach at the collegiate level, as well as coaching in TAPPS Division I over the last three years,” Nesmith said. “Our team has been impressed by his prior coaching experience and his plan for building the football program in grades 6-12.”

Foren was the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at St. Michael’s for the past three seasons and added the role of associate head coach for the 2025 season. He led an offense that has averaged more than 30 points per game in back-to-back seasons facing TAPPS Division I competition and has been among the top-scoring private school offenses in Texas during that time.

Foren previously spent nine years coaching collegiately, including four seasons as the offensive coordinator, recruiting coordinator and quarterbacks coach at North Park University in Chicago. In his first full season as the OC at North Park, he led the offense to the most points scored in a season in nearly a decade.

Foren also served as quarterbacks coach at DIII Wilmington College, and safeties coach at DII Saginaw Valley State University in Michigan. He played quarterback collegiately and graduated from Hope College in Holland, Michigan.

“My family and I are blessed to join the Geneva School community, as it has a strong tradition of excellence in academics and athletics,” Foren said. “I look forward to leading a football program that passionately develops young men on and off the field. We cannot wait to get on campus to meet the great families and students of Geneva, my family and I can’t wait to join a community that teaches from a Christ-centered worldview.”

Foren is the eighth head football coach in the school’s history.
