On behalf of the Hill Country Council for the Arts, we would like to take this opportunity to introduce the most recent addition to our Board of Directors, Heather Bateman.
Heather is the owner and principal designer of Before Your Eyes Interiors, a full-service interior design firm, located on South Main Street in Boerne. She was the first to answer our call for applicants to join our efforts in celebrating the Arts in Texas Hill Country.
Heather is passionate about helping clients create beautiful, functional spaces and has built her business on personalized service, thoughtful design, and a commitment to excellence, throughout the Texas Hill Country.
Equally passionate about her community, Heather serves in executive leadership roles with several local organizations, including as secretary and sponsorship director for Das Festival of Kendall, where she helps celebrate the area’s heritage, while supporting community initiatives.
Additionally, she serves on the Boerne High School Band Booster Board. As a HCCA board member, Heather advocates for students, the arts, and the continued growth of the Boerne community.
Born in Orange, Texas, Heather later moved to Austin, where she met her husband, Joe Bateman. Together with their children they made Boerne their home. They quickly fell in love with the town’s welcoming spirit, strong sense of community and the many opportunities it offers families and local businesses alike. Whether through her business, volunteer leadership or family life, Heather is dedicated to making a positive impact and giving back to the community she is proud to call home.
We encourage you to drop by Before Your Eyes Interiors to say hello. Heather proudly makes room for a few homegrown artists to display their artwork and discuss interesting ways to incorporate original works of art into her interiors.

Hill Country Council for the Arts, (HCCArts), is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization, serving Boerne, Kendall County, and the 19 counties of Hill Country Texas. Our focus is to enhance community awareness, develop opportunities for involvement, and encourage individual and corporate financial support for promoting the growth of the Arts.
