LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Editor, I want to provide a statement regarding my experience serving as a judge for the Kendall County Fair pageant.
I can confirm that I was not paid, instructed who to vote for, coerced, pressured or manipulated in any way regarding my judging decisions. My scores and my decisions were entirely my own and were based solely on my observations of each contestant throughout the competition. At no point did anyone attempt to influence the outcome or ask me to favor any particular contestant.
I felt that the judging process was conducted fairly, and I personally did not witness or experience anything that would lead me to believe the pageant or its results were rigged or predetermined.
It was truly a great pleasure getting to meet each and every one of the contestants. They were all beautiful young women, and I appreciated the opportunity to be a part of their pageant experience.
I was honored to serve as a judge and wish every contestant continued success.
