SAN ANTONIO — The Boerne High and Boerne Champion girls water polo teams won their first-round playoff matches on Monday as Boerne ISD schools squared off against Southwest ISD schools at the SW Aquatics Center in San Antonio.
Boerne High defeated Southwest 25-8, and it was a historic win for the Lady Greyhounds because it’s the first playoff win by a BHS water polo team in their school’s history.
Boerne Champion topped the Titans of Southwest Legacy, 23-5, in a match the Chargers were winning at halftime, 16-0.
The Lady Hounds play the winner of Canyon and Johnson later this week, while the Chargers play Pieper, a 13-11 winner over Reagan on Monday night.
