Members of the Greater Boerne Chamber of Commerce flocked to Charming Pet Rescue on Sept. 24 for a ribbon-cutting event. Charming Pet Rescue, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit animal rescue, is dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming abandoned dogs and cats, particularly those at risk in overcrowded shelters. Their mission is to help family friendly pets find loving, permanent homes while providing adoption, foster and educational resources to support both animals and their new families. They host an Open House every Saturday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. and are available by appointment during the week. Stop by, meet the animals and drive away with the newest furry member of your family. Charming Pet Rescue at 8430 Flint Rock Road. www.charmingpetrescue.org. Courtesy photo
