The Geneva School of Boerne volleyball team won its second-round or Area playoff match on Tuesday night and advances to the regional round.

The Eagles (23-18) won their first-round match against Live Oak in straight sets, 26-24, 25-15, 25-20 at Round Rock Christian Academy and will now play that same Round Rock Christian school for the right to go to state.
Comfort High
The Deer had to wait until Tuesday to find out who they would play and whether they would go to the D1 (big school) or DII (small school) but it’s figured out now.
Comfort (21-19) opened the playoffs on Thursday against Stockdale (24-21) at Kyle Lehman in the first round of the 3A-DII bracket. District foes Llano and Florence tangled in a tiebreaker match earlier this week and Llano won, which put the Deer in the small school bracket.
The Comfort-Stockdale winner faces the winner of Lytle-Randolph early next week.
Before Thursday’s playoff tilt, the Deer played a warm-up match at Junction on Tuesday and beat the Eagles in five sets. Comfort won, 26-28, 25-18, 25-22, 20-25, 15-13.
