The Boerne High swim team participated in one final meet in 2023 when they were entered in the SAISD Invite 2 Swim Meet recently.
It was a good meet for the Greyhounds after the girls took 1st with 148 points and the boys were 3rd with 95 points.
RESULTS (Top 10)
In the girls 200-medley relay, Brinley Robinson, Ella Parsons, Brenna McCarty and Sarah Heilesen teamed up for 2nd with a 2:04.63, while a second BHS girls team consisting of Bella McCarty, Brooke Sachs, Mary Rich and Maria Martin Johnson came in 8th at 2:34.57.
The 200-medley boys team of Carter Schuessler, Cole Grotjohn, Cooper Wagner and Michael Villarreal won the boys race with a time of 1:54.47, while a second boys team of Tristan Wood, Zachary Pyle, Cannon Kunz and Zayden Arnold placed 9th with a 2:15.57.
Brenna McCarty was 3rd in the girls 200 free with a 2:17.87 and Ella Parsons came in 4th at 2:21.44, while Mary Rich was 8th in 2:36.16.
Cooper Wagner won the boys 200 free after posting a 1:58.16 and Isaac Martin Johnson placed 6th in 2:15.73.
Sarah Heilesen won the 200 IM with a time of 2:33.86 and Karen Gray was 2nd in 2:41.77, while Cole Grotjohn was 2nd in the boys 200 IM with a 2:19.56.
Lauren Summers was 5th in the 50 free with a time of 28.21, Brinley Robinson came in 7th at 28.58 and Cassidy Collier posted a 30.05 for 9th.
In a second girls 50 free, Brooke Sachs was 1st in 33.00 and Violet Gothard placed 4th in 34.19.
Isaac Martin Johnson finished 3rd in the boys 50 freestyle with a time of 26.36 and Michael Villarreal was 5th in 26.78.
In the 100 butterfly, Michelle Mendoza came in 5th at 1:23.31 and Maria Martin Johnson was 9th in 1:44.44, while in the boys 100 butterfly, Carter Schuessler posted a 1:10.43 for 5th.
In the girls 100 free, Brenna McCarty finished 5th in 1:04.40, Karen Gray was 8th in 1:06.09, while in a second 100 free girls race, Brook Sachs took 1st in 1:12.04 and Maria Martin Johnson came in 3rd in 1:22.55.
In the boys 100 freestyle, Cole Grotjohn was 3rd in 56.54 and Michael Villarreal came in 10th in 1:04.04, while in a second boys 100 freestyle race, Tanner Smith was 7th in a time of 1:19.53.
In the 200-free relay, Ella Parsons, Lauren Summers, Brinley Robinson and Sarah Heilesen teamed up for 1st after posting a 1:55.02, while a second BHS girls team consisting of Michelle Mendoza, Sadie Smurr, Karen Gray and Cassidy Collier was 4th in 2:00.45 and a third team of Brooke Sachs, Maria Martin Johnson, Isabel Rylander and Violet Gothard was 9th in a time of 2:14.33.
In the boys 200 free relay, Cooper Wagner, Cole Grotjohn, Michael Villarreal and Isaac Martin Johnson captured 1st in a time of 1:41.05.
Brinley Robinson was 1st in the girls 100 backstroke after recording a time of 1:11.92, Sadie Smurr was 3rd in 1:21.42, Mary Rich was one spot back in 4th at 1:21.55 and Cassidy Collier came in 9th at 1:30.51.
In the boys 100 backstroke, Tristan Wood finished 7th with a time of 1:11.93 and Carter Schuessler was 8th in 1:12.75.
Lauren Summers placed 2nd in the 100 breaststroke after posting a 1:18.02 and Ella Parsons was 3rd in 1:18.25, while Cooper Wagner won the boys 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:12.55.
In the girls 400-free relay, Brenna McCarty, Michelle Mendoza, Sadie Smurr and Lauren Summers teamed up for 1st with a time of 4:23.11, while a second BHS girls team of Karen Gray, Cassidy Collier, Mary Rich and Bella McCarty was 4th in 4:40.40.
The boys 400-free relay consisting of Isaac Martin Johnson, Carter Schuessler, Tristan Wood and Zachary Pyle was 5th in 4:11.85.
