The Champion girls soccer team tallied eight goals from seven different players Tuesday night to breeze past Seguin in a district contest at Charger Field.
Champion won the match, 8-0, and improves to 6-1 in district to close out the first round of 26-5A action.
The Lady Chargers are 7-6 overall and hosted Wagner Friday to start the second round of district.
In Tuesday’s match, Daylynn Carpenter led the team with 2 goals, while Layla Sturgeon, Lily Alejo, Ashlyn Plank, Mack Arendall, Taylor Burk and Jayme Harrell all tallied single goals.
Ashlyn Defries, Burk, Carsyn Bradley and Brinley Collins all finished with one assist in the match.
Maddi Micale and Lola Vaughan were both in goal 40 minutes apiece for their fifth shutout this year..
