AUSTIN – Champion sent five athletes to this year’s 5A state track and field meet at Mike Myers Stadium to compete in eight different events and two of the athletes returned to Boerne with four medals.
Elizabeth Leachman claimed two gold in distance events and Ephraim Tonn-Bourg earned two silver medals in wheelchair events.
Leachman also raced in the 800 and finished second for 2 more points to go with the 20 points she earned after winning both the 1600 and 3200.
