Tapatio golfer earns big bucks for hole in one

Tapatio Springs Men’s Golf Association member Larry Hicks made the rarest of shots on Sunday June 9. Hicks made a hole-in-one on the Tapatio Golf course hole No. 3 using a gap wedge for the 108-yard shot. The ace was witnessed by two other Tapatio Springs Men’s Golf Association members, Frank Cohen and Alex Abramson. As an added bonus, Hicks also participates in the Tapatio Hole-in-One Club and received an $800 gift card from the Tapatio Springs pro shop for his efforts. The Hole-in-One Club consists of individuals who pay $5 for each hole-in-one made. Hicks has another hole-in-one to his credit at Tapatio Springs on hole No. 17 in 2021.
