The Boerne Champion tennis team continued district play Tuesday with a match against Smithson Valley.
The Chargers ran past the Rangers on their home court and won the match, 10-1.
Champion improves to 2-0 in district and 4-2 overall. The Chargers hosted Wimberley Friday in a non-district match and then play another non-district match against Antonian early next week before tangling with Alamo Heights on Sept. 5 in a district contest.
After that, Champion will play Boerne High on Tuesday, Sept. 10, in the first meeting of the 2024-25 school year between the two BISD high schools.
Boerne High is playing in the Kerrville Tournament this weekend.
