    Bernard Robert Ogurek, Sr.

Bernard Robert Ogurek, Sr. was born Aug. 16, 1932. in Chicago, Illinois, to Louis Ogurek and Ruth Hausner and went to his Lord on Dec. 19, 2018 in San Antonio at the age of 86.

He is survived by his daughters Ruth Ogurek McLane, Susan Barborek Davis and Karen Barborek Cahill; grandchildren Katelyn Davis Honaker, Michael Davis, Michelle Cahill, Brenna Cahill, Patrick Cahill, Shannon McLane and Natalie McLane; great-grandchildren Grace Honaker, Leah Honaker and Zoey Honaker. He was preceded in death by his wife Charlene Becker Ogurek, his sons Bernard Robert Ogurek, Jr. and Peter James Ogurek.

Bernard was a Korean War Veteran who worked as a cement finisher for 40 years. He was an avid watercolorist in his later years.

There will be a funeral Mass held on Thursday, Dec. 27, at 10 a.m. at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church in Boerne. His wake will be at Williams-Kampp Funeral Home in Wheaton, Illinois, on Thursday, Jan. 3, from 4 to 8 p.m. with burial at 10 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 4, at Windbridge Memorial Park, Carey, Illinois.
