Both the Boerne ISD baseball teams took care of business Friday night and closed out their respective playoff series to advance to the fourth round.
Boerne High played a doubleheader in Marion and swept Navarro on Friday, 4-3 and 3-0, to advance to the next round. The Hounds get the winner of the Floresville – Robstown series.
The Chargers took Game 1 over district foe Smithson Valley on Thursday, 4-1, and then returned to the NEISD Stadium on Friday and closed out their series against the Rangers with a 7-4 victory.
Champion gets the winner of the Corpus Christi Ray and Corpus Christi Carroll series.
Softball
The Lady Hounds defeated Alice on Thursday in a one-gamer, 7-2, to advance to the regional finals.
BHS gets the winner of the Calallen – Needville series.
Scheduling might be tricky since schools are having to work around graduation.
Boerne High graduates on Thursday and Champion graduates on Friday.
