Said family includes a failed nun, a sober companion, an ex daughter-in-law and her son. Family arrives not realizing their long-nurtured resentments and secrets will erupt in fireworks more explosive than those they actually came to see. A poignant comedy about families and motives. The playwright, Sheila Rinear, is a San Antonio resident and Regional Representative for the Dramatists Guild of America, with several awards. This will be the world premiere!

The Trip to Bountiful-- a drama by Horton Foote, Director Lisa Garza. S.T.A.G.E., Inc.,, 1300 Bulverde Road, Bulverde. Weekends February 9 through 26. Carrie Watts longs to escape the cramped Houston apartment where she lives with her son and his wife, and return to her beloved hometown of Bountiful, Texas, one final time before she dies. She escapes to the bus station and befriends a young woman named Thelma. The new friends travel towards Bountiful together, but when Carrie arrives in nearby Harrison, Texas, she begins to learn that her beloved town isn’t the same as she remembered it. Opening night is a benefit performance for Friends of the Village of Bulverde. Tickets are $20 and season tickets are not accepted for this performance.
