Book & Arts Festival takes off in October

I’ve been reading many inspirational books over the last couple of years – both fiction and non-fiction. The most recent book I’ve read is “Making Space for Women: Stories from Trailblazing Women of NASA’s Johnson Space Center” edited by Jennifer M. Ross-Nazzal and published by Texas A&M University Press. This book is a goldmine filled with stories by many trailblazing women, going back 40 years or more to NASA’s beginnings. It includes the stories of women astronauts, flight controllers, administrative support and much more

Jennifer Ross-Nazzal is the historian for the NASA Johnson Space Center and has worked diligently to put together this inspiring collection of perspectives. Jennifer and three of the women featured in the book will help kickoff our Boerne Book & Arts Festival on Saturday, October 1, at 10 a.m. at Boerne’s Main Plaza.
